Japan's
telecom markets are among the world's most open and competitive
We
build your business in Japan's telecom world
Several
years ago NTT had the monopoly for national communications,
while KDD (which has merged into KDDI) had the monopoly for
international traffic. After a period of deregulation and some
consolidation a large number of companies compete in one of the
most competitive and most exciting telecom markets. The
following picture gives a bird's view on Japan's telecom markets
- this picture is by no means complete. Yahoo is attacking the
broad band internet access market and the voice phone market,
wireless hotspots are starting up all over Japan to compete with
the three 3G networks of DoCoMo, AU/KDDI and Vodafone/J-Phone.
